strutting my 'Joie de Vivre' all over Louisiana

our Louisiana adventure began at Intracoastal Park, and on the northern edge of the Sabine National Wildlife Refuge and smack dab on the edge of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway.  it was cool to hang out; a slew of tankers passed by and some birds decided to ignore the N.W.R. boundaries and came to visit.

next stop was the 'crawfish capitol of the world' Breaux Bridge. this place was just a one night stop for us but we doubled up on the crazy-kookiness; camping on the edge of Bayou Teche (link to the legend of Bayou 'Snake') and a the cemetery at Breaux Bridge City Park...so much wonderful weirdness in such a small town!

the neighbors were quiet

as fate would have it, we landed in New Orleans just in time for Valentines Day, President's Day weekend and Mardi Gras all wrapped up in to a giant size party pack of 'wow, can they do that in public?'  we strolled down 'Calle D Borbon'...that's french for Bourbon Street.  i sported my Bacchus Krewe colors...the chicks dug me!

finally, i recovered from my attention hangover, just in time to storm the Mississippi border.  we're on the move again...make sure to keep up!
